Asphalt reinstatement across Sydney

After a trench is dug through an asphalt driveway, car park or road, the backfill and the surface both need to be done properly or the trench line sinks and cracks. We compact the base, then lay and roll new asphalt flush with the existing surface.

Service pits, inspection openings, sewer and stormwater connections, and excavations for new services. Where the edges of the existing asphalt are ragged, we saw cut them back to a clean, straight line first so the joint seals properly.

Driveway crossovers and footpath sections across the council verge are often dug up during building and services work. Reinstating them usually has to meet council requirements, so check what your council needs before the work starts.

Saw cut the existing edges back to sound asphalt, remove loose material, compact the base, lay hot mix asphalt, roll it flush with the surface around it, and seal the joints. It is the same sequence we use on every job, just at a smaller scale.
